It's taken us 25 days but we've finally done the impossible. We've recorded Episode #2 of the official Bourbon & Banter podcast – Dancing With Myself.
Why are we calling it that? Well my friends, you have to listen to it to find out. I promise, it will be worth your time investment. And if you're really good we've got a very special slow jam surprise at the end of the podcast for your listening pleasure.
This episode is crammed full of great stuff including a sit down with Lew Bryson, former managing editor of Whisky Advocate magazine from 1996 to 2015, and the author of six books – two that focus on whiskey. We focus on Lew's most recent book, Whiskey Master Class, for the interview to learn more about the inspiration behind what is sure to become essential reading for whiskey lovers around the world.
In addition to our interview with Lew, we dive into Whiskey Headlines, host another Craftshoot, revisit our 2015 review of the Norlan Whiskey Glass, and engage in a brutally honest edition of Bourbon Bullshit.
- Whiskey Headlines (5:47)
- Reviews Revisited (13:30)
- Lew Bryson Interview (18:00)
- Craftshoot (51:20)
- Bourbon Bullshit (59:20)
We originally intended for this episode to be bit shorter than our debut show, but Lew had a bit to say so it's a bit longer than intended. But hey, no one complains about the extra fries at Five Guys, right?
Let's not give Lew a complex. Pour yourself a drink and listen to episode #2 using the player below. Or if you prefer you can head over to Spotify to listen or Apple iTunes.
Warning: If you're not comfortable with cussing and swearing, you might want to skip this one folks. It's recorded at barrel strength with full-throttle banter.
