Drinks By The Dram 12 Day Tequila & Mezcal Review

If you're not signed up for our email list, you should go do so now. But if you're here, there's a good chance that you've at least heard of Drinks by the Dram. If you're not familiar with them, they are a company that is known for offering their Drinks by the Dram subscriptions in monthly, three-month, and 12-month versions. You can choose from Whisky, Rum, and Gin. They are also known for their famous line of boozy Advent Calendars. They've recently added to their line of products and have released their "Collection Series."

The Collection Series a line of drinkable gift sets that have been curated to deliver a fun and unique tasting experience. Each gift box comes with 12 different wax-sealed 30 ml drams of the spirit you choose. They are currently offering the Collection Series in seven different variations that range from Gin, Irish Whiskey, Rum, Tequila & Mezcal, and of course, Whisky. The Gin and Whisky choices also come in a "Boutique-y" or Premium version. Pricing is in British Pounds and ranges from £30-£65.

I received the Tequila & Mezcal Collection since I am the default tequila contributor for our team. The packaging was nice and compact. The box has 12 square perforated tabs or doors on the top of the box. Very similar to your typical advent calendar. Pull open the tab, and there is a nice little wax-sealed 30 ml glass bottle inside. Out of the 12 samples in the box, seven were expressions I hadn't tried before. There were a few that I was not familiar with, so that was an added bonus.

Keep in mind that you aren't going to be getting highly allocated and super rare spirits. Still, you are getting a nice mix of samples from all different distillers. This isn't something you would purchase for yourself more than once unless you were hosting a tasting event at your home, but this is an absolutely fantastic gift idea for someone who likes to #DrinkCurious or instead of buying a single bottle as a gift. This will make a much bigger impression than just bringing a bottle to give as a gift and will be sure to be appreciated for the extra thought and uniqueness of it.
