Corbett’s: An American Place is hosting a four-course meal inspired by Disney’s Beauty and the Beastmusical and infused with Four Roses bourbon on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Guests will meet Four Roses Brand Ambassador Al Young and have a chance to win tickets to see The Beauty and the Beastat the Kentucky Center in October. The dinner is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. For reservations, call (502) 327-5058.
Equus and Jack’s Lounge will celebrate Monday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 p.m. with a four-course meal of fall dishes created by Chef Tavis Rockwell to accompany bourbon cocktails created by “Bad Girl of Bourbon” Joy Perrine. Perrine will lead tastings of three bourbons in addition to a honey-infused Tennessee whiskey and a bourbon cream liquor over the course of the meal. The cost is $65 per person plus tax and gratuity. Over at the Brown Hotel, they have food, drink and room specials in honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month. The English Grill will feature a rabbit salad with Bulleit bourbon soaked cherries, Treviso, and sherry mustard vinaigrette. Also new to the menu are short ribs braised with Basil Hayden’s bourbon and cumin topped with celeriac puree and roasted apple and walnut gremolata. For dessert, a Kentucky spice cake with Buffalo Trace bourbon whipped cream will be offered. In the hotel’s Lobby Bar, a bison burger with beer cheese, house-made pickles and a Four Roses bourbon barbeque sauce will be available along with a chocolate walnut pie made with Maker’s 46 and topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Room packages that include one night in a newly renovated room, a box of bourbon balls, a bourbon tasting in the Lobby Bar and an all-American breakfast start at $195.00.
Chef Bill Lynch at Bristol Bar & Grille’s east location has planned a bourbon brunch in addition to month-long menu specials. On Sunday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., he’ll serve an all-you-can-eat buffet of bourbon-heavy items including a waffle bar. New dinner items include a southern spring rolls with bourbon mustard and bourbon barbecue chicken.
Lilly’s, A Kentucky Bistro is offering bourbon dinner and drink specials in honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month too. Executive chef and owner Kathy Cary and chef David Scales have created an array of tempting savory and sweet à la carte dishes made with bourbon for their patrons’ enjoyment. Lilly’s bar manager Rachel Hidinger is also offering a toast to bourbon with four new bourbon cocktail specials. For more information, call 502-451-0447.
North End Café head bartender Patrick Ormerod is shaking up the cocktail scene with inventive whiskey drinks. His bourbon-infused beverages bring in smoked black tea, orange marmalade and more for a new spin on Kentucky’s favorite spirit. They’ll all be available for $8 each throughout the month of September.
